Here at Acquire the Fire, there is a team of young adults who are dedicated to reaching the teenagers in your area. They have devoted a year of their lives to mature in their relationship with Christ and grow in their leadership abilities at Teen Mania’s year-long internship. At the same time, their desire is to see the rest of their generation be reached for the Lord and to draw closer to Him. They help make ATF possible by working faithfully to get the word out to youth leaders about the event and providing resources and support for those interested in attending. ATF would not be the same without them!

From Casey:
Hello everyone! My name is Casey Sharp, the assistant director of the Atlanta Acquire the Fire. I am 20 years old and from Lewiston, Idaho. I have a passion for youth ministry and Acquire the Fire. My life was changed when I went to ATF six years ago. I had a youth pastor just like you, who took the risk and brought me to ATF. I am now at the Honor Academy striving to live my life for the glory of God. Be encouraged! You never know the impact you can have on one life; they may end up being the next great missionary or speaker. God is doing amazing things through this year’s Acquire the Fire event and I am so blessed to be a part of it. I look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!
From Shannon:
Hey everybody! My name’s Shannon, but I go by Charlie. I’m 19, and I am a part of Team Atlanta! I am originally from Anchorage, Alaska (no, I do not have a pet polar bear, but I HAVE built an igloo!), and now currently attend the Honor Academy. I am so excited to get to meet all of you at the Atlanta Acquire The Fire in April, and can’t WAIT to see what God has in store for everyone! Much love and Eskimo hugs!
From Travis:
Hi my name is Travis Fleming. I am from Pascagoula, MS, and am so excited for the Atlanta Aquire the Fire this year! God is really going to do big things. We are praying for the youth and youth pastors daily and hope God blesses you.

Friends, I apologize for the confusion concerning this year’s Atlanta ATF location. We are in the process of updating our website, but in the meantime I want you to know that we will be holding the event at the Tabernacle church in Decatur, where it was last year.
Here is the address:

Also, we are in the process of securing hotel rooms at a discounted rate for those who are attending the event. Here is the information for those we have so far:

Tucker, GA
770.496.1070
Rate: $75.00
Distance from Venue: 8 mi.
Reserve by: 3.3.08
Holiday Inn Express & Suites

Decatur, GA 30035

As I get more hotel information, I will be sure to post it on our site. Also, I am looking for churches near the venue who would be willing to allow another youth group to stay overnight at their church. If that is you, let me know! Thanks and God bless!

Hey youth pastors! This year we want to encourage you to bring the parents of your teens. Unlike recent years we are going to have a special parents-only session where they will be given practical tools that will help them “build a culture in their homes that is stronger than the culture of the world.” We will be using Ron Luce’s new book, Recreate, which I’ve read and was very inspired by (even though I’m not a parent). We know that in order to reach this generation, we must all work together. This is not a battle for just youth pastors, but for parents as well. Therefore, we want to equip them to effectively reach out to their teenagers. The session will be held Saturday morning for the parents, and Saturday afternoon we will have a session for teens and parents.
If you are a parent, we would like to invite you to come as well, even if your teen is not part of a youth group. Feel free to find a local youth group who is attending the event and join them, or just come as a family! I guarantee that you will not regret it! Not only will you be able to experience what your child is experiencing, but you will also receive valuable training to handle those tough teenage years! In fact, you will get a chance to meet other parents from your region who are as passionate about raising godly children as you are!
Give me a call or e-mail me for more information!

Hey ATL! For those of you who don’t know, my name is Rebecca, and I had the priviledge of being your event director last year. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed building relationships with many of you both before and during this past season’s event!
We are going to be back next spring with an amazing line-up of bands and speakers. Also, we have new workshops for youth leaders, students, and even parents! This is definitely one event that you will not want to miss!
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need anything at all. God bless!
Rebecca
